I built a tool called Artalyx to keep all the boring behind-the-scenes stuff in one place: your releases, tracklists and ISRCs, campaign budgets, where your money is coming from, and royalty statements you can actually hand to a bandmate. No more five logins and a spreadsheet you’re scared to open.

It works for solo artists, bands, labels, and promo companies, but I built the free version with the single musician in mind. If you’re out here doing it all yourself, it’s free to start and no card is needed.

I have been running a label for a while and got tired of duct-taping tools together, so I just made the thing I wanted. If you try it, I’d love to hear what’s useful and what’s confusing.

GIO is not a dancefloor goth. He writes traditional gothic rock that tells stories.

Some tracks might work on the floor, but that’s not what he’s about. So when you’re not out clubbing, give GIO a listen and look for what’s inside each story: the meaning, the lesson, the warning, the prediction, the moral.

That said, if you can dance to Bela Lugosi’s Dead, you can dance to GIO.
