Morella Records is actively seeking artists who embody the true spirit of gothic rock, post-punk, deathrock, and darkwave. If your music honors the traditions of the genre without industrial or EDM crossovers, we want to hear what you've created in the shadows.
What We're Looking For
We seek artists creating music in the tradition of Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, and the countless bands keeping that sound alive today.
Specifically, we seek artists who:
- Create music rooted in traditional goth rock aesthetics (reverb-drenched guitars, driving basslines, atmospheric synthesizers, haunting melodies, authentic darkness)
- Refuse to compromise artistic vision for trends and understand goth rock is a lineage, not a costume
- Are committed to their craft and ready to work with a dedicated independent label
- Prioritize atmosphere, melody, and emotional depth over aggression and dancefloor appeal
Before You Submit
Please ensure you:
- Include working links to your music (Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud)
- Provide active social media profiles
- Have quality recordings that represent your sound clearly
- Are legally able to enter agreements (18+ or with parental consent)

- We do not charge submission, reading, or consideration fees
- Digital submissions only, no physical materials accepted
- You confirm ownership or permission to share submitted music
- Multiple submissions within 6 months may limit consideration
- We review all submissions and respond within 4 to 6 weeks if interested

Artists who want more extensive campaigns can opt for comprehensive promotion packages (additional fee). This includes personalized pitching to 50-80+ outlets, playlist campaigns, radio outreach, enhanced social media, and detailed reporting.
